Driving Data-Driven Decisions with Dynamic Pricing

Xefco wanted a flexible forecasting tool capable of predicting future revenue based on unit sales, variable pricing, and probability factors — all while allowing seasonal adjustments and discount management. 

By leveraging Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform capabilities, we developed the Sales Forecast App, enabling precise forecasts, monthly breakdowns, and customizable inputs tailored to real-world business needs. 

Engagement Summary

The challenge was to move away from static spreadsheets and into a more dynamic, interactive forecasting environment.
We worked closely with Xefco to ensure the app could: 

  • Accept key inputs such as unit forecast, price per unit, and probability 
  • Factor in seasonal or promotional discounts automatically 
  • Generate year-by-year and month-by-month breakdowns with visual clarity 
  • Offer full flexibility to adjust parameters at any time 

This solution allowed Xefco’s sales teams to visualise potential revenue scenarios instantly, improving decision-making speed and accuracy. 

Delivered Project

Interactive Sales Forecast App

To showcase the capabilities, we created a sample app with prefilled data that works in conjunction with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales. This served as a proof of concept, demonstrating how organisations could: 

  • Input core sales parameters (units, price, probability) 
  • Define discount windows for automatic price adjustments 
  • View annual and monthly breakdowns of both units and revenue 
  • Drill down into individual months for granular detail 

We also emphasised that the application could be fully tailored to match specific workflows, data sources, and reporting needs. 

The Challenge

Xefco’s existing process relied heavily on static spreadsheets and manual updates. These methods were slow, error-prone, and lacked the flexibility to quickly model different pricing or probability scenarios. 

Our Solution

We built a low-code, user-friendly app in Power Apps, integrated with Dynamics 365 Sales, to streamline forecasting. By combining structured data entry, automated calculations, and drill-down analytics, we created a scalable, easy-to-use tool for both strategic and operational sales planning.
